About this policy
This policy explains how Lee Delauter & Sons, Inc. handles information when you use our website or pay an invoice or statement online.
Information used for invoice payments
When you start an invoice payment, we ask for:
- The name on your account and your phone number.
- Your invoice or statement number and the location shown on it.
- The amount you want to pay.
Our payment service uses these details to create a PayPal checkout link. It sends them to PayPal with the service fee and payment total so the payment can be identified and matched to your account. We may use payment information to answer your billing questions and maintain business records.
You enter your card or other payment details on PayPal’s hosted checkout, not on our website. Our website does not collect your card number or security code. PayPal handles checkout and payment records under its Privacy Statement.
Website information and preferences
Our website is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Hosting providers process technical information, such as your IP address and browser request information, to deliver pages and operate and protect the service.
We use Google Fonts to display the website’s typeface. Your browser connects to Google to load these files, which provides Google with your IP address and request information. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
If you choose light or dark mode, the website saves that preference in your browser’s local storage. You can remove it by clearing this website’s stored browser data. The website does not use advertising cookies or traffic analytics. PayPal may use cookies and other technologies on its own checkout pages.
How information is shared
We do not sell, rent, or lease customer lists. We use service providers, including PayPal for online payments and AWS for website hosting, to provide the services described above.
We may also disclose information when required by law or when needed to address fraud, protect our business or customers, or respond to a legal claim.
Links to DoorDash, maps, or other websites take you to services with their own privacy policies. Review those policies when using those services.
Information retention
Our website’s invoice payment service processes your details to create a PayPal checkout link and does not save a separate payment record in a website database. It is configured to log technical failures without logging your submitted invoice details or payment credentials. Its technical logs are retained for 30 days.
This 30-day period applies only to those technical logs. It does not apply to PayPal’s records or our business billing and accounting records, which may need to be retained for transactions, support, and legal obligations. PayPal describes its retention practices in its Privacy Statement.
Security
We use HTTPS encryption for website connections and for sending payment information to PayPal. We take steps to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee complete security.
Privacy questions and requests
You can contact us with questions or to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we hold about you. We may need to verify your identity. Some records may need to be kept to complete transactions, meet legal obligations, or address security issues. Requests about information held by PayPal should also be directed to PayPal.
